(India Imposes Three-Year Tariff on Some Imported Steel Products to Support Domestic Industry) December 31 (Cailian Press) – India's Ministry of Finance announced on December 30 that it will continue to impose tariffs on some imported steel products for a three-year period, with rates ranging from 11% to 12%. Under this safeguard tariff scheme, the rate is 12% in the first year, decreasing to 11.5% in the second year, and 11% in the third year. Since April of this year, the Indian government has implemented a temporary 12% tariff for 200 days.
