Typical Workflow on Progressive Header
ire Pay-off & Straightening: Coil is fed into a precision straightener.
Feeding: A servo-controlled feed mechanism pushes the wire to a precise length.
1st Station - Cut-off & 1st Blow: Wire is cut to blank length and preliminary heading occurs.
2nd Station - Head Forming: The final head shape (pan, flat, hex, etc.) is completed.
3rd Station - Pointing / Extruding: The nail point is formed.
Transfer & Thread Rolling: The blank is transferred to an integrated thread roller (if making a screw).
Ejection & Sorting: Finished parts are ejected, often directly into a vibrating sorter or packaging system.
