Belt Material: Polyurethane (PU) is the mainstream material, with some using neoprene rubber.
PU: Wear-resistant, oil-resistant, anti-aging, high hardness, and not easily deformed, suitable for high-speed continuous operation.
Rubber: Good toughness, slightly lower noise, but its wear resistance and anti-aging properties are not as good as PU.
Strength Layer (Tensile Body): High-strength steel wire core.
The steel wire rope has extremely high tensile strength and extremely low elongation (<0.3%), ensuring no elongation or tooth misalignment under high-speed, heavy-load conditions.
Key Performance Requirements (Specific to Nail Making Machines)
High-speed Adaptation: Linear speed is usually... Speeds of 20–40 m/s require a lightweight belt with good dynamic balance.
High impact resistance: Withstands the instantaneous impact force during nail making; high shear strength of the teeth prevents tooth breakage.
Ultra-low elongation: Steel wire core + high-quality materials; elongation < 0.3%, ensuring feeding/cutting accuracy.
Long lifespan and wear resistance: Continuous production (800–1200 nails/minute); wear-resistant, fatigue-resistant, and requires minimal maintenance.
Dimensional stability: Pitch remains constant despite temperature/humidity changes, ensuring long-term synchronization accuracy.
Selection and Replacement Points
Verify the original model: Directly check the old belt markings (e.g., 8M-1280-60); pitch, circumference, and bandwidth must be consistent.
Material preference: PU steel wire synchronous belt (preferred for high-speed, heavy-duty applications).
Width allowance: Increase bandwidth by 10–20mm for heavy-duty/high-speed machines to improve lifespan and stability.
Installation Specifications: Ensure the axis is parallel and the pulleys are aligned to prevent misalignment and uneven wear.
Maintain appropriate tension; excessive tension will cause shaft breakage/belt cracking, while excessive looseness will lead to tooth skipping.
Add a tensioning pulley/guide pulley to extend belt life.
