Key Functions and Characteristics

The model number of a timing belt includes three key parameters: tooth profile (HTD), tooth pitch (8M), and circumference (736mm). Selecting the wrong parameter will prevent installation or cause transmission failure.

AT5 and HTD are two different tooth profile standards and cannot be used interchangeably.

Inspection Points:

Surface Cracks: Obvious cracks indicate that the rubber has aged and needs to be replaced.

Broken Steel Wires: Synchronous belts are reinforced with steel wire cords. If bulges or signs of breakage are found on the belt back, it must be replaced immediately.

Tooth Wear: Worn and sharpened teeth will cause skipped teeth and decreased accuracy.
